As you progress through the levels, you will have access to better hatchets that will cut trees faster.
Protip: you can add a higher level hatchet into your toolbelt, and it will work as all previous hatchets. For example, adding a Dragon Hatchet to your toolbelt at level 1 will grant you all previous hatchets. You do not need to buy each one individually! This dust is obtained throughout Prifddinas, primarily by playing the Harps. Crystal and Dragon Hatchets can both be augmented using Invention. Ivy isn't that much more xp than willow logs, but it helps. Main advantage to ivy is it is very easy, no effort required at all. Ivy are faster and easier, but Go cut 1K of "ivy" in an hour -. Ivy's good. Not for my level 71 but with yours and a drag.

And now, I expect to see about a zillion wc skillcapes, and about a half-zillion using autoclickers not macros, but a program that clicks in one place repeatedly. They need to a: give it a loooooong respawn time, B: severely reduce the amount of xp it gives I'm talking 1xp per cut! I went and chopped it for some giggles and after about 30 minutes I was bored out of my freaking mind.
At least at teaks I could interact with the game by dropping some logs. Well, I was trolling the forums during the weekend I cut ivy, as well as played around with this , so I didn't mind not being engrossed in the game. You get nests so it is possible to make money out of it, I think you fail at WC because at 74 I get about 30K XP in 10 mins so thats K tops per hour!
