What is overdrive read

Click or tap the number on the left side of the chapter or magazine article name to go back to the beginning of the chapter or article.

In a magazine, click or tap to read an article on the current page. While reading an article: Click or tap or at the top of the panel to skip to the previous or next article. Click or tap at the top of the panel to see all of the articles available in the magazine issue. Features and settings On a larger device, these options appear in the navigation bar at the top of the screen by default. Click or tap to place a bookmark. On a smaller screen, you can also tap the top-right corner of the screen while reading to place a bookmark.

Lighting : Choose Bright black text on a white background , Sepia dark reddish-brown text on a tan background , or Dark white text on a black background.

Ebooks only Book design : Choose a preset design, or select Custom to change the font, justification, line spacing, and text weight. Magazines only Magazine navigator : Choose how pages appear in the timeline, with a preview or without. Magazines only Article button : Choose when the read-the-article button appears in a magazine. Click or tap to search for a word or phrase in the book. Login before searching to see thousands of eBooks available only to Springfield-Greene County Library cardholders.

Type your library card number without spaces. Click on a book cover to select a book. If an eBook is available for immediate checkout, a darkened icon of an open book will display where the page corner is turned down. If the book is unavailable, this icon will be grayed out. Whenever you return to an OverDrive Read ebook, whether it's during your current lending period or if you borrow the same ebook again in the future, your place, bookmarks, notes, and highlights will be saved.
